How does Zubly Table work?

A host picks a restaurant and time slot, then posts a dining invite. Joiners pay a ₹99 platform fee to confirm their spot. Once 3–5 people have confirmed, Zubly automatically books the table via Swiggy Dineout on the host's account — no manual coordination needed.

How much does it cost to join a table?

₹99 per person, collected by Zubly as a platform convenience fee. This is separate from your food bill at the restaurant — you pay for your own meal at the table as you normally would.

What happens if not enough people join?

If the table doesn't reach its minimum (3 guests) by the join deadline, it expires and every joiner is automatically refunded their ₹99 in full.

Does the host pay the ₹99 fee too?

No — the host doesn't pay the platform fee. Only joiners pay ₹99 each. Hosting is free.

Which restaurants can I book on Zubly Table?

Any restaurant available on Swiggy Dineout. The host searches for available restaurants and time slots when creating the invite, and only restaurants with available free reservations are shown.

Do I need a Swiggy account to host a table?

Yes — the host needs their Swiggy account connected in Zubly so we can book the table on their behalf. Joiners do not need Swiggy connected; they only need a Zubly account.

Can I come alone to a Zubly Table?

Yes, and almost everyone does. Booking a single seat is the normal way to use Zubly Table, not the exception — every other person at the table booked the same way. The group is deliberately kept to 4–6 so nobody ends up stranded on the edge of a conversation.

Is it safe to have dinner with strangers?

Every guest signs in with a Google account, so nobody is fully anonymous. Tables are always at public, bookable restaurants on Swiggy Dineout — never private homes — and the restaurant, date and time are fixed and visible on the table's page before you pay. Groups are 4–6 people, never a one-on-one, and you can see who has already confirmed before you join.

What do people talk about at a Zubly Table?

Every table has a short 'about' note from the host describing what the evening is for — a cuisine to try, a topic, or just a weeknight dinner. That note is visible before you book, so you can pick a table whose conversation you actually want to be part of, and there's always an obvious way to open.

Who pays for the food at the table?

You do, directly to the restaurant, exactly as on any other night out. The ₹99 Zubly fee only confirms your seat and covers the booking — Zubly never takes a cut of your food bill and never bills you for anyone else's.
