No one needs to call the restaurant. No one needs to chase confirmations. The booking is real — placed through the same Swiggy Dineout system the restaurant uses for all its bookings.

If the table doesn't fill before its join deadline, the table expires and every confirmed seat is refunded in full. No Dineout booking is made and no one is charged for a dinner that didn't happen.
